  • About Us

International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) is the global movement against gun violence – a network of more than 250 civil society organisations in over 90 countries. Our members work to reduce the proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons through advocacy and campaigning, research, information, awareness raising and victim assistance. IANSA’s members formed the network in 1998 to coordinate and support their actions against the global flood of guns which impedes their work for human rights and social justice. IANSA has also established itself as the global advocacy network on gun violence prevention, representing civil society in the UN small arms process.
