    SHELTER, Inc. ty is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created in 1986 with the goal of alleviating a homeless crisis. Today, SHELTER, Inc. offers a comprehensive, integrated system of services ranging from prevention to transitional housing to permanent, affordable housing. Our three program areas are: (1) Preventing Homelessness, (2) Promoting Self-sufficiency and (3) Providing Affordable Housing.
