NVFAA's mission is to promote education,appreciation,participation and the pursuit of excellence in all forms of art and to establish and operate programs enriching the cultural life of Northern Virginia and surrounding metropolitan area. As the primary site for these activities, the Association owns and maintains the historic building called the Athenaeum.
