About Us

Our Mission
For our clients to achieve their maximum potential through effective communication connections with family and community.

Who We Are
HSDC is a Western Washington service hub for clients who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have communication disorders. We envision a future in which hearing status and speech challenges do not impact one’s ability to communicate or reach life goals.

For nearly 80 years, HSDC has worked to remove obstacles for people with hearing loss, speech challenges, and other communication barriers, empowering them to achieve their full potential. We join direct services with systemic change to create an inclusive and accessible community. Our comprehensive services span the life cycle and include: Early Childhood Learning/Preschool, Audiology Services, Speech Therapy, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Advocacy Services, and American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting.
