About Us
Lynn Economic Opportunity, Inc. (LEO)'s mission as the Lynn area's anti-poverty agency is to alleviate the immediate effects of poverty in the Lynn area while striving to eliminate its root causes, and thereby improve the quality of life for all residents of the Lynn area. Consonant with the national mission of community action, as expected in the Equal Opportunity Act of 1964, LEO's purpose is to stimulate the commitment of public and private resources toward the goal of facilitating low income families and individuals to move toward consistent and stable economic mobility. LEO recognizes the necessity of addressing the political and social, as well as economic bases of poverty.
