About Us

MISSION: Bayou Land Resource Conservation and Development seeks toimprove the quality of life in rural and urban communities, topromote the wise use of our natural resources, andimprove the economic, environmental, & social conditions in the Bayou Land area.

Designated by the Secretary of Agriculture January 11, 2002, the Bayou Land RC&D Council, Inc., is a 501©(3) not for profit organization that addresses natural resource conservation and development issues in Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St Bernard, St Charles, St John the Baptist, & Terrebonne Parishes. This organization works closely with and is supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Our projects provide technical assistance, training, education and outreach programs.
