Vision America is enriched through the vital contributions of American Muslims.
Overview The Muslim Public Affairs Council, founded in 1988, is an American institution that improves public understanding of Islam and shapes policies that impact American Muslims by engaging our government, media and communities. Our policy work engages policymakers and government agencies to reform national security; uphold religious freedom and civil liberties; and create an American Muslim voice for human rights. Our understanding work engages media producers from film, television, news and pop-culture to promote authentic and humanizing portrayals of Islam and Muslims. Our community work empowers the American Muslim community to get involved in policy and understanding.
