About Us

Riverfront North Partnership is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating, maintaining and programming an 11-mile network of trails and parks along the Delaware River in Northeast Philadelphia, stretching from Port Richmond to the Bucks County Line.

The organization started as a vision by then-Congressman Bob Borski in the late 1990s, who saw the miles of vacant industrial property on the Delaware River north of Center City transformed as a regional trail and park network for Northeast Philadelphia. The organization was founded in 2004 committed to the belief that every Philadelphian should have direct access to their riverfronts. Riverfront North leads the implementation of the trail from design and construction to full activation using programming and stewardship. We work closely with the City of Philadelphia and a variety of community and government groups to accomplish the goals of the mission.
