Preservation Volunteers

  • About Us

Preservation Volunteers (PV) is a preservation matchmaker, seeking out historic projects and enlisting volunteers to work on them. It fills a significant gap in the preservation picture: For projects of a kind or at a place where volunteers are needed but not readily available, and—as often happens even in public projects—sufficient funds for paid workers are lacking, PV enlists suitable volunteers, and thus may save an otherwise-lost bit of our national heritage. In a world that often seems fragmented, we hep restore community spirit and participation. PV offers a unique cultural experience for both American and international volunteers, plus a valuable training experience in restoration skills. PV appeals to both young adults from18 and older volunteers whose experience and skills are welcome.
