    The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to end cancer. Funds raised through the events enable the Society to help people facing the disease today, educate people about how to reduce their risk for cancer or detect it early when it’s the easiest to treat, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations. But our work is not done. We need people like you to join the Relay For Life movement and help multiply our efforts to eliminate cancer as a public health problem. By becoming a Relay For Life Event Leadership Team volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in the fight against cancer, gain valuable leadership skills, and receive the honor and satisfaction of helping others in your community enjoy a memorable experience.

    About Us

    The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Calvert County is rated one of the top community events in the county. The event will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at the Calvert County Fairgrounds, beginning at 2 p.m. with games, food, entertainment, and activities for families. Admission is free, and all are welcome. Activities may require a donation, and food will be available for purchase. The event will conclude with a Closing Ceremony at 11:30 pm.

    There are several ways to get involved in Relay For Life of Calvert County. You can take part by joining the group of community volunteers who comprise the Event Leadership Team which is responsible for all aspects of planning this event, or by making a donation, becoming a sponsor, volunteering to help at the event, or starting your own team!
