ANOTHER CHANCE YOUTH MENTORING AND SHELTER

Another Chance Youth Mentoring is a community-based organization that provides support to youth and young adults who are at-risk for suicide. ACYM’s goal is to reduce the stigma on mental health by creating a more inviting community that allows individuals to have the courage to ask for help. Ultimately, ACYM wants to reduce the number of suicides amongst all ages. ACYM targets adolescents, teens, and young adults, but does not turn away any individual in need of support no matter the age, race, gender, or religion. ACYM does not turn individuals away because the greatest demographic effected by suicide is the middle-aged, white male. ACYM provides prevention and postvention support to individuals and families who have been effected by suicide.
