Passaic County Court Appointed Special Advocates (PC CASA) is an independent, nonprofit organization that promotes and supports professionally trained court-appointed volunteer advocates for children in out-of-home placement. CASA volunteers serve as a child's "Voice in Court" and are committed to ensuring that needed services and assistance are made available to children in out-of-home placements, while at the same time helping to move these children toward safe, nurturing and permanent homes.
Throughout the United States, the state of New Jersey and in Passaic County, CASA serves children who, for their own protection, have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care. Judges refer the most serious cases of child abuse and neglect to CASA. For information on National CASA visit www.nationalcasa.org
