About Us
Mission
Winona Volunteer Services is a non-profit service provider and advocate working to improve the quality of life in our community. With a caring network of dedicated volunteers and partners, we secure and distribute food, clothing, information, referrals, and emergency assistance in a respectful and dignified manner to people in need.
Programs
Supplemental Food Shelf
This food program offers eligible Winona County residents with limited resources a way to receive free food once a month. WVS asks individuals to provide proof of residence and verify income when applying for this program.
Home Delivered Meals
This program enables homebound or convalescing residents of Winona or Goodview to receive a lunchtime meal delivered to their home if they are unable to prepare their own meals or attend a congregate dining site. Meals are prepared by a local vendor and delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:30 am and 12:30 pm excluding major holidays.
The Clothes Shop
Resale Shop- Sells good quality used clothing at reasonable prices. Profits benefit WVS overall operations. Volunteer positions include, Cashiers, Clothing Sorters, Donation Specialists and special project volunteers.
