Alfa Homes

San Francisco, CA

About Us

Alfa is a 24 hour non-profit residential facility in the Haight Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Alfa cares for six court dependent adolescent foster girls. Our residents arrive burdened with complex life situations; many have endured physical, mental and/or sexual abuse, mental health challenges, domestic and/or gang violence, sexual and/or human trafficking, or neglect. These young women are struggling through a tough transition and it affects every aspect of their lives, from their emotional state, to their ability to learn and comprehend, to their social lives. Our program aims to teach our residents the skills and life lessons that they would learn if they were either still living with their families or were residents in a college preparatory program. Our goal is to enable the youth to complete their education, prevent delinquent behavior, reduce recidivism, and prepare them for emancipation into independent living while learning how to become productive citizens of the community.

The applicant must be either possess a BA in Psychology (or comparable major) with at least 1 year of verifiable residential experience or have 4 years verifiable experience in a residential facility. Must be able to pass a background check and TB test. CPR and First Aid provided.

Please email your cover letter and resume and you will be contacted for an interview if we feel you posses the qualities & qualifications that would best suit Alfa Homes.
