CASA of El Paso, Inc.
Mission
CASA (Court Appointed specail Advocates), a non-profit organization, trains and supports volunteers from the community to advocate for abused and neglected children who need representation in the family court system, striving to provide them a safe and permanent home.
About Us
- Every year more than half a million abused and neglected children are in need of safe, permanent, nurturing homes. Too many of these children spend years moving from one temporary home to another without a family to call their own. As adults, they are more likely than other children to face homelessness, unemployment, and even prison.
That's where CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) steps in. As trained advocates, CASA of El Paso volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for abused and neglected children in court. The result is the children are placed into safe, loving homes where they can thrive.
- Our CASA program is located in El Paso and we serve abused and neglected children in the 65th District Court. We currently are serving 386 children with 150 volunteers and nine staff members.
