  • About Us

Church of the Advocate is a historic congregation in Philadelphia, PA whose mission is to live the Gospel of Christ through community programming, by providing human services as well as pursuing and advocating for social justice. We live out this mission in a variety of ways.

Human Services: The Advocate has continuously operated a community feeding program 5 days per week for the past 30 years. We serve between 100 and 150 men, women and children daily. In 2012, we served almost 20,000 meals, distributed 3,000 food vouchers and made available numerous articles of clothing, household and personal care items. In addition to a host of other programs geared towards meeting the needs of the underserved population of North Central Philadelphia.
