Leave It Better is an organization dedicated to youth-led tangible environmental solutions.

We've got an educational program that puts gardens into schools and teaches kids how to grow their own food. Students learn how to compost in the Fall, and use that compost to grow vegetables in the Spring. Each school receives small HD cameras and professional training, and produces a short documentary sharing what's been learned. The program culminates with a harvest party that features salad grown by students, and a screening of the documentary at a youth film festival at the New York Botanical Garden. We currently have our program in 10 schools in New York, with about 700 students participating.
