    About Us

Good Shepherd Food Bank is the central hub of Maine's largest hunger relief network. We provide for those at risk of hunger by soliciting food donations and purchasing food at wholesale prices, then distributing this food to over 600 partner agencies in every county in Maine. Our partner agencies include nonprofit organizations that fight hunger on the front lines in their communities, such as soup kitchens, homeless shelters, food pantries, and after school programs for underprivileged kids.

By working together as a network, Good Shepherd Food Bank and our partners are able to provide enough food for nearly 30,000 meals every day of the year.

By volunteering at the Food Bank, you are able to make a direct impact in providing both food and hope for Maine families from Kittery to Fort Kent.
