  • Mission

Project 68 (P68) exists to close the gap between culture and civic life. Our mission is to increase civic participation among politically disengaged and rightfully cynical Black communities, especially Gen Z and Millennials, by transforming how information reaches, resonates with, and activates our people. We do this by leveraging culture, creators, and community to make civic engagement feel real, relevant, and rooted in lived experience.

    About Us

Project 68 (P68) is a culture-first civic organization committed to reshaping how Black communities engage with civic and political life. We were founded on a simple belief: when you start with culture, people see themselves in the story, and participation follows.

For too long, traditional civic strategies have overlooked the ways Black audiences actually consume information, form trust, and mobilize. P68 bridges that gap by meeting people where they are: in digital spaces, cultural moments, campuses, and communities. Our work centers Black creators, influencers, storytellers, and young people whose voices and lived experiences shape the way information moves.

We focus on reaching politically disengaged and rightfully skeptical Black audiences, especially Gen Z and Millennials, who are often left out of civic outreach despite being deeply impacted by policy decisions. Our programming lifts up community voices, increases access to civic information, and creates pathways for people to take informed action on issues that matter.
