  • Mission

Our Foundation was formed to foster the growing creative community in our city. It is the immediate goal of our Foundation to establish several essential supports for artists and creative professionals: 1. Art studios, media production facilities, and live/work spaces for artists, performers and creative businesses. 2. High visibility, retail spaces available affordably for performances, exhibitions, installations, workshops, etc. that will add cultural tourism value to the community. 3. Arts Programs for our students and young people with an emphasis on creative career development & early childhood music learning. 4. A range of community programs to enrich and improve the lives, homes, businesses and neighborhoods of our citizens.

    About Us

The Art Foundation of Desert Hot Springs, CA is a new, 501(c)3 tax exempt, non-profit organization serving the creative community in this financial troubled yet rapidly growing, desert resort town with a high concentration of young families, many of whom live below the poverty line.

Despite the economic challenges, our city is home to some of the most talented people in the Coachella Valley. We have artists, musicians, dancers, writters, photographers who have been at the top of their fields, and students who could easily rise to the top if given the proper tools and access.

This is where we come in. The AFDHS is here to provide infrastructure and support for artists and creative people and give them the tools they need to revitalize our dilapidated and depressing surroundings.
