About Us

Young Voices on Climate Change (YVCC) was founded to limit the magnitude of climate change and its impacts and with the belief that youth have an essential role in informing society and catalyzing change since they will bear the brunt of climate change. YVCC is an educational and environmental non-profit organization whose mission is to amplify the youth voice, promote greater energy awareness, and inspire young people through short documentaries showing creative youth solutions to the climate crisis.

The Young Voices for the Planet films document dynamic and earnest youth speaking out, taking action, creating change and reducing CO2 emissions. The films are now being broadcast on 70 PBS stations and are screened widely at film festivals, science centers, museums, international conferences, schools, libraries, theatres and other public venues. They are featured on dozens of websites and used in programs of government agencies, educational institutions, environmental groups and other non-profits. National Geographic, PBS Learning Media and the U.S. Forest Service's ClimateChangeLIVE include the films on their websites and in webinars.
