    The Antelope Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross has jurisdiction over an area of 4,300 square miles, encompassing 40 percent of Los Angeles County and 50 percent of Kern County in southern California. This area includes the military installations of Edwards Air Force Base, China Lake Naval Weapon Center, and Air Force Plant 42. Services are provided 365 days per year – 24 hours per day. Programs include, but are not limited to:

    • Service to the military, veterans and their families
    • Disaster preparedness and relief
    • Health and safety education and training
    • Youth programs
    • Blood
    • Community networking
