Compatible Technology International

  • Mission

CTI works to improve the lives of people in developing countries by designing food and water technologies that are sustainable and appropriate to local cultures, and by collaborating with in-country organizations to identify needs and to achieve widespread use of our technologies to relieve hunger and poverty.

    About Us

Compatible Technology International (CTI) is a St. Paul, MN-based nonprofit organization that designs and distributes post-harvest processing tools and solutions for small farmers and communities in developing countries. Our robust and affordable technologies are designed to help families and entrepreneurs produce food more efficiently and effectively, leading to increased incomes and strengthened food security.

CTI was founded by a group of volunteer engineers and researchers who sought to use their skills and knowledge to help families in the developing world improve their lives. Today, we continue to work with volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds who share their extertise to help us give the global poor sustainable pathways out of hunger and poverty.
