Toe River Arts Council

The Toe River Arts Council shall have as its purposes to promote and encourage the existing cultural and educational organizations of Mitchell and Yancey Counties, North Carolina; to engage in any phase of the creative or performing arts; to assist in the establishment of new cultural, educational and scientific activities in fields where none now exists; to coordinate cultural, educational and scientific activities of Mitchell and Yancey Counties so as to avoid overlapping and duplication of efforts; to sponsor co-operative planning, research, fund-raising and public educational programs, administer property, and undertake such other services and programs as are deemed necessary to encourage participation and appreciation of the arts in the area.
