Volunteer Tutoring Program, Seattle Central College

  • Mission

We work with students to develop basic English, reading, writing, and math skills so that they can reach their goals. Students in our division are working towards attaining education by taking classes in English as Second Language (ESL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), and GED Prep!

    About Us

The Basic and Transitional Studies Division Tutoring Program at Seattle Central College connects volunteers and ESL, Adult Basic Education (College Prep), GED students. Tutors provide one-on-one academic support. Our program serves a diverse group of students who speak many different languages and come from many different parts of the world. Our students also come from a variety of educational backgrounds. For some of our students, this may be their first time in a classroom or their first time learning to read or write while others may be returning to school to complete their GED, prepare for college classes or learn English.
