About the URI Foundation
The URI Foundation secures contributions from alumni, parents, corporations, foundations, and friends on behalf of the University of Rhode Island. New commitments combined with distributions from the endowment amount to some $30 million for use across the University annually, with that amount typically rising from year to year.
These resources address a variety of areas including scholarships, faculty, academic programs, and new initiatives to enrich the URI experience. We are grateful to the individuals and organizations whose generosity plays such a significant role in advancing a community of excellence, diversity, and innovation.
Foundation President Lil Breul O'Rourke leads these efforts under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors and in concert with University leadership.
