Oregon Wildlife Foundation

Oregon Wildlife Foundation (OWF) has been an important part of preserving the Oregon we all love for almost forty years.

Through partnerships with other nonprofits, private industry, and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), we've directed millions of dollars to projects around our state aimed at conserving fish, wildlife, and the natural habitat that makes Oregon so special. 

OWF was established in 1981 by business leaders and members of the Oregon Fish & Wildlife Commission, to accept donations for and provide funding to fish, wildlife, and public access projects throughout Oregon.

A few of our more notable fundraising campaigns include the purchase of the lower 17 miles of the Deschutes River, restoration of salmon habitat in coastal and Willamette Valley streams, restoration of Diamond Lake in southwest Oregon, and re-connection of Sturgeon Lake (on Sauvie Island) near Portland with the Columbia River.
