Qadam for Rights & Development is a non-profit non-government civil society organization of enlightened active and conscious youth of district Buner for collective and sustainable development of the region. Established in January 2006 and has been registered in 2007 with the Social Welfare Department under the voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961 bearing Registration No. DSW/NWFP/2702. The Head Office of the organization is located at near Govt. Higher Secondary School, Nawagai, Chamla Valley, District, Buner.
Vision: Socio-economic empowerment and easy access of Civil Society to basic needs, justice and human rights.
Mission: To create a model and prosperous community through interventions of education, health facilities, socio-economic development and empowerment in the region of Buner district.
1. To mobilize and organize the communities for participatory planning and development, and to promote the environment for equity and equal rights. 2. To enhance the skills of target communities through technical education and vocational trainings. 3. To highlight issues of governance, social justice and human rights through awareness campaigns, seminars and walks. 4. To raise awareness regarding environmental degradation, its effects on health, economy and social setup. 5. To address the child labor issue by exploring alternate sources of income to the poor families and to introduce new technologies for the development of agriculture and livestock sectors. 6. To raise awareness against HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, TB, Polio, Malaria and other epidemic diseases. 7. To promote self help initiatives, saving habits, fraternity and unity.
