About Us

The Virginia Conservation Network (VCN), a 501(c)3 charitable organization, is the Commonwealth's only statewide network of environmental and conservation organizations. With over 120 member groups representing every region of the state, our network reaches over 200,000 citizens.

VCN member groups work on a wide range of natural resource, land use, transportation and quality of life issues, but all collectively support VCN's mission to protect the Commonwealth's air, lands and waters for the benefit of the people as guaranteed by the Virginia Constitution.

In 2005 VCN began a new era as the Virginia affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation. This new partnership is building upon VCN's important role as a leader in developing and coordinating Virginia's environmental community and ensuring meaningful public involvement in the protection of our natural resources.
