About Us
The Cincinnati Parks Foundation (hereinafter Foundation) is a nonprofit charitable 501(c)(3) organization. The City of Cincinnati’s Board of Park Commissioners created the Foundation in 1995 to develop a long-term advocacy, partnership, and fundraising organization to support our parks and greenspaces. Under the Foundation’s Code of Regulations, the Trustees of the Foundation report to the Board of Park Commissioners. The former and current Trustees nominate new Trustees to the Foundation with the final approval given by the Board of Park Commissioners.
The organizational structure is designed to provide a relationship between the Trustees of the Foundation and the Board of the Park Commissioners that fosters a spirit of cooperation, collaboration, and public/private partnership.
