SOWA GOAT SANCTUARY

  • Mission

Sowa Goat Sanctuary is a 501c3 nonprofit located in Harvard, MA. Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate abused, neglected, critically ill, and special needs farm animals. We also hope that by sharing our residents' rescue stories we are able to open hearts and minds to the inherent worthiness, beauty, intelligence and lovability of farm animals.

    About Us

Sowa Goat Sanctuary sits on 10 acres in Harvard, MA and is home to over 50 rescued goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. Sowa is a Tibetan word that means "to heal, mend and nourish," and that is exactly what we provide for our rescued animals. In addition to utilizing traditional veterinary medicine we embrace holistic practices including herbalism, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage, reiki, sound healing, and flower essences. We have an amazing team of dedicated volunteers who help us care for our residents and create a healing, loving environment where our animals can progress their trauma and thrive.
