About Us

IMIFAP is a Latin American NGO, based in Mexico City, which focuses on health prevention and life skills training for people struggling with poverty. We work in the areas of reproductive and sexual health, gender, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse and violence prevention, as well as micro-enterprise. IMIFAP was founded in 1985, and since then we have developed over 40 different programs, which have reached more than 19 million people in Mexico, nine other Latin American countries, the USA, the Caribbean, Greece and Uzbekistan. We are funded by major international organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations, government agencies, and a large number of foundations and corporations such as the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
