  • Mission

We transform the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases.

    About Us

At MDA, we search for volunteers who will embrace and align with our mission, vision, and values which are shared below.

Our Mission: To transform the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases.

Our Vision: At MDA, we're driven by our passion to create a world free of the harmful effects of muscle diseases. The freedom to walk, to talk, to run, to play, to eat, and to breathe are what inspires us. Each day across the country, these freedoms are taken away from kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases. From research, to care centers, to summer camps, we, along with you are helping people with neuromuscular diseases to live longer, live stronger. If anyone is one day going to unlock a cure, its MDA.

Our Values are our strength. We believe in MUSCLE:

Mission - We're driven to accelerate progress for families and muscle health

Understanding - We're attentive to our constituent's needs and each other's

Stewardship - By investing precious resources wisely, we drive the best possible outcomes

Collaboration - We foster win-win partnerships and build communities

Learning - Knowledge power our success and empowers our people

Excellence - We strive to do our best and exceed constituent's expectations
