    About Us

    Port - Vendres is the French Sister City with Yorktown, Va. Port - Vendres was selected as our Sister City 30 years ago as a result of the French's help during the revolutionary war. Port - Vendres has the only plaque in Europe on their town monument that is dedicated to the revolutionary war and American Independence. Sister Cities Yorktown conducts both student and adult exchanges in what President Eisenhower recommended to enhance citizen diplomacy one person and one village at a time.
