About Us

We provide business and professional job search training, resume development, cover letter writing, and interview, mentorship and networking activities to the Minnesota immigrant population. We empower New Americans, Refugees and Asylees to overcome cultural and language barriers; providing cultural sensitive workforce development support. AWED also seeks to create partnerships with Minnesota companies who value diversity and are looking to attract top talent; we help them find and integrate this hidden workforce.

OUR MISSION 
Is to help African Immigrants in Minnesota achieve long-term socioeconomic success by developing the existing entrepreneurial culture, and facilitating career advancement opportunities by integrating this population into the professional U.S. workforce.
