  • Mission

Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley works to enrich Washtenaw County through a legacy of affordable homeownership for low-income families

    About Us

Driven by Habitat homeowners, our volunteers, and our supporters, we are committed to making affordable housing a matter of conscience and action, right here in our own community. In a county where owning a home can be expensive, Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley makes affordable homeownership achievable for hard-working families of low-income. Our program is centered on the idea of a hand-up, not a hand-out , that is to say, giving families the opportunity to work hard to purchase a home with a no-profit mortgage. This makes owning a decent, safe, affordable home attainable to families that otherwise could not purchase their own home.
