About Us
The Global Youth Action Network (GYAN) is one of the most expansive youth networks in the world, with more than 1,000 member organizations in over 150 countries. Our strategic partner TakingITGlobal (TIG) hosts the world’s largest online community for socially engaged youth – TIGweb.org. GYAN’s mission is to facilitate youth participation and intergenerational partnership in global decision-making; to support collaboration among diverse youth organizations; and to provide tools, resources, and recognition for positive youth action.
The Global Youth Action Network is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation (2001, New York), which holds Affiliate Status with the United Nations Department of Public Information, and Special Consultative Status with the UN’s Economic & Social Commission (ECOSOC).
