  • About Us

Our mission is twofold: to build families and protect vulnerable children in orphanages in Ghana; and to provide service volunteers with a deeply meaningful experience that will remain with them for a lifetime. Our vision is for every child in an orphanage to find a healthy loving family.

We send a group of college-age volunteers to Ghana twice a year to work with Department of Social Welfare social workers in orphanages to help build build profiles on orphanage-housed children. These profiles enable the children to be placed in loving families - sometimes that means being reunified with family, foster care, or adoption.

We are currently accepting applications for our Winter 2015 internship from January 12 - February 27th in Ghana. Email applications@kaeme.org with a resume and cover letter if interested.
