    The FRI research community empowers students to make scientific and personal discoveries while developing vital skills for success.

    About Us

    Through multi-faceted mentoring, students build relationships and forge long-term bonds with faculty and peers. Students develop vital workforce skills, including collaboration, communication, project management, analytical thinking, and science literacy. With our personalized learning approach, students take ownership of their research experience. We foster the development of growth mindsets through which students become reflective, resilient, confident, and independent. We provide transformative experiences that build solid foundations, clarify self-direction, and catalyze students’ future success. Students drive interdisciplinary research to tackle urgent global challenges. Students disseminate findings among professionals to fuel innovation.
