About Us

Shepherd’s Cove homeless shelter for women and children serves approximately 600 to 700 women every program year. Our goal is to provide supportive services to the population of single women and women with children in Prince George’s County. Our key objective is to provide a safe haven to eliminate crisis and stabilize their lives. The ultimate goal is to move customers into transitional/permanent housing.

We are managed by United Communities Against Poverty (UCAP). UCAP a non-profit organization whose mission is to Alleviate poverty; Improve awareness of the needs of low and moderate income residents; and maximize the quality of life for residents of Prince George’s County and impoverished individuals throughout the state of Maryland.
