    The mission of Y OPAS is to help seniors stay living independently. We do this by providing FREE support services that help people successfully age in place.

    About Us

    The YMCA’s Outreach Programs for Ahwatukee Seniors (Y OPAS) has been providing support services to Ahwatukee seniors since 2001. We started at Mountain View Lutheran Church and in 2006 became a program of the Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA.

    Y OPAS is a community effort offering FREE support services for the seniors of Ahwatukee and their caregivers. Services are provided by community volunteers - the generous neighbors of Ahwatukee. Our objective is to meet the needs of the growing senior population in Ahwatukee, with the goal of enabling our seniors to maintain independent living in their own homes. If you are 65 years and older and live in Ahwatukee (85044, 85045, and 85048 zip codes), contact us to see how Y OPAS can help you.
