About Us

Durham Interfaith Hospitality Network addresses the immediate and ongoing needs of homeless families by mobilizing Durham congregations and people of faith to help families move toward residential stability and self-sufficiency.

We partner with over 30 local congregations which provide overnight accommodations, meals and transportation for our guests on a rotating basis. During the day, families receive comprehensive case management services, including assistance in procuring jobs, medical care, day care and school placement, and stable housing.

In 2013, we served a record 102 people in 34 families, and 81% of the families leaving Durham IHN moved into permanent housing. We could not have helped those families achieve their goals without all our wonderful volunteers and donors, as well as our colleagues and partners in the community.
