The Children's Heart Foundation-California Chapter

  • Mission

The Children's Heart Foundation (CHF) is the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) research with the mission to fund the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs.

    About Us

The Children’s Heart Foundation, California Chapter is growing! We are searching for new board members and fundraising event volunteers.

Most people are unaware that Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs) are the most common birth defect in America. Approximately one in one hundred, or 40,000 newborns, are born with a CHD each year. CHDs are the most common cause of infant death related to birth defects. However, because of advancements made through research, death rates from CHDs in the U.S. have declined by 37.5%. It's our goal to see that number increase, and to continue to see babies born with CHDs survive to adulthood..
