Eastern Shore of Virginia Habitat for Humanity

  • About Us

Habitat for Humanity is a 501c3 Christian-based nonprofit organization. Our mission is to give a hand up to those who are living in substandard housing on the Eastern Shore. Every year, we partner with several families to build them decent, affordable houses. We offer a hand up, not a hand out. The homeowners have to work a minimum of 350 hours before they are allowed to move in to their new home. Habitat for Humanity holds the deed to the house until the family has finished paying off their non-interest bearing morgages.
