National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties
- District of Columbia
The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) is the only organization specifically devoted to promoting high quality nurse practitioner (NP) education at the national and international levels. Starting in 1974 as a small group of educators meeting to develop the first NP curriculum guidelines, NONPF has evolved as the leading organization for NP faculty sharing the commitment of excellence in NP education. Today, the organization represents a global network of NP educators.
NONPF recognizes that NPs provide a significant amount of care and that the education of NPs must be strong, relevant and innovative. To this end, NONPF has continually provided support to educators through establishing competencies, methods of evaluation and by working with partner organizations to achieve excellence in NP education.
Our mission is to be the leader in quality nurse practitioner education.
Our vision is to be the preeminent global leader in providing timely and critical resources for NP educators and advancing innovative models that support NP educational programs to meet the highest quality standards. We unite and lead NP educators in transforming healthcare.
Quality: Promote excellence in NP education through creation of evidence-based strategies and resources.
Accountability: Prepare NP faculty through the implementation of evidence-based strategies to respond to the changing health care system.
Policy: Lead NP faculty to advance policy that influences NP education and practice.
Diversity: Champion a culture of diversity and inclusivity in NONPF and across NP education.

Engagement: Leverage the membership as a valuable resource to advance the mission and vision of NONPF.
