ACT NOW IS A 100% ALL-VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION that educates, organizes, and deploys progressive New Yorkers to work on the issues and elections that matter most, at home and across the country. At the heart of our mission is the belief that Democracy is not a spectator sport. Everyone must play a role in electing the best government possible and holding it accountable to a progressive agenda.

As Progressives, we believe in the power of community, in shared responsibilities and shared rewards. We believe that the most effective activism is that which requires you to leave your house, hit the streets, and talk to voters and elected officials face-to-face. We believe that the best campaigns continue well after Election Day, as activists and constituents bring pressure to bear on the very representatives they have elected.
