Maine Appalachian Trail Land Trust
Mission
The Maine Appalachian Trail Land Trust was formed in June 2002 as an independent land trust for the purpose of acquiring and protecting land surrounding the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in Maine for public benefit.
About Us
The Maine Appalachian Trail Land Trust has helped conserve 75,000 acres of land that is open to all for recreation. From these efforts MATLT has continued to take an integrated view of the A.T. landscape, using a targeted approach that encompasses action from the community level to the national level.
