Reach Out and Read Oregon

Reach Out and Read Oregon (ROR Oregon), an affiliate of the national organization Reach Out and Read, Inc., was established in 2012 and gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together. Reach Out and Read is the only national literacy organization that operates within the medical system by partnering with pediatric medical providers. With unparalleled access to families with young children, Reach Out and Read medical providers give books to children at ten or more well-child visits from infancy until they begin elementary school. More importantly, providers encourage families to read aloud and engage with their young children every day.
