Elderly Persons in Community

  • Mission

The mission of EPIC is to provide housing facilities and services to income eligible, functionally impaired, elderly persons in the Greater Cincinnati area in a shared housing project designed to meet the physical, psychological, recreational and social needs to aged persons.

    About Us

Founded in 1989, EPIC is a shared living facility for the low-income elderly. There was concern that elderly residents of the inner city were often prematurely placed in nursing homes because there was no affordable housing with services available to them. They could not afford what was available outside of the inner city, there were no subsidies for this housing and they did not want to leave familiar surroundings.

EPIC is for low-income elderly who require minimal assistance for daily living, seeking a safe, warm friendly environment and wishing to stay active.

Licensed by the State of OHio, EPIC is funded by affordable rent from the residents, grants and donations.
