Democratic Party of Georgia
The Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG) was founded to serve as a state arm of the National Democratic Party. The mission then and now is to support democratic candidates at every level of government, from municipal and county offices to the U.S. Senate, Governors and Presidents office.
The goals of the State Party are achieved through initiatives that provide campaign and elections support; programs directed towards constituency and advocacy; grassroots canvassing, training seminars, party meetings and conventions designed to educate and promote the causes of the democratic party statewide. All of these initiatives operate with two governing bodies, The State committee and The Executive Committee, along with the DPG staff.
